.NET Tip – Mark Method as Deprecated

In recent months I’ve undertaken a significant amount of framework development as part of a large strategic investment in product development by my employer.  In releases both internal and external it’s hardly practical to just cut off functionality.  See below method marked as obsolete or deprecated.
Developers using this now deprecated method will receive a compiler warning.  In this case the warning text is fairly basic but could include directions to an alternate method, where to find more detail, or even what version the now deprecated method is planned to be dropped from the framework.
