BizTalk File Receive Location Permissions

I was out on a customer site the other day with a colleague.  My job was to dig my way through a broken distributed ASP.NET app with 198,000 lines of code getting it to compile and my colleague was there deploying a BizTalk 2006 solution.  My colleague pops over and asks why he can’t just give his BizTalk file receive location read/write access to the folder.  He had to give modify access.  Basically read permission grants access to read file contents, write grants access to write file contents, and modify gives access to both read/write and more including delete access to files and folders.  So modify is needed for the account running the file receive location to delete the file after reading.
